Into My Life and The Brazilian Tours of Colin Hay and Men at Work – Documentary

 

Idealized and directed by “Carlinhos” Rafael Pompeu, the creator of the web site www.colinhay.com.br, this minidocumentary tells the curious story of the song “Into My Life“, from the singer and songwriter Colin Hay, frontman of the Australian band Men At Work, which was a global success in the early 1980s.

It contents an exclusive interview with Colin Hay and his wife Cecilia Noël. Pompeu tells curiosities about the seven well-succeeded tours of Colin Hay in the country, and the curious fact that “Into My Life“, from his second solo album (“Wayfaring Sons” – 1990), only having success in Brazil, after being included at the soundtrack for the soap opera “Rainha da Sucata” (Queen of Scrap).

The fan has also suggested to his idol to record a new version of the song so the Brazilian audience could have access to it through the music apps, due to the abscene of both albums where it was released (“Wayfaring Sons” and the live Men At Work album “Brazil“), for Brazilian users.
