Men at Work has three songs at the Top 500 from Brazilian radio Kiss FM

At the tuesday (January 5th), the radio Kiss FM, one of the main Rock stations in Brazil, posted a list entitled “As 500 Mais da Kiss FM 2020-2021” (The Top 500 of Kiss FM 2020-2021). At the list, the Australiana band Men at Work shows up with three songs: “It’s A Mistake” (at the 128th position), “Down Under” (190th position) and “Who Can It Be Now?” (195 position).

The presence of the songs among the “Top 500” of the radio confirms that the Brazilian audience likes the music from the band that started in Melbourne and conquered the world in the early 1980’s. In 1996, ten years after the band broke-up, lead-singer and guitarrist Colin Hay and saxophonist and keyboardist Greg Ham toured Brazil under the name Men at Work. The tour resulted in the released of the live album “Brazil”, with the main hit songs from the Brazil, beside the above mentioned, also: “Be Good Johnny”, “Overkill”, “Everything I Need” and “Into My Life” (from Colin Hay’s second solo album, which was a huge hit in Brazil). Colin Hay and Greg Ham kept performing as Men at Work until 2002, even playing at the closing cerimonies of Sydney Olympics. Greg Ham passed away in April 2012, at his house in Melbourne.

In 2019, Colin Hay toured Europe as Men at Work, with current band, formed by Cecilia Noël (vocals), San Miguel Perez (guitar), Yosmel Montejo (bass), Scheila Gonzalez (saxophone and keyboards) and Jimmy Branly (drums). The same formation peformed a benefit live streaming last november.
